Learning from a master

Weyburn Junior High Band students listen attentively as Dennis Tupman plays for them. Tupman was holding a clinic with the WJH honor band and the Grade 9 band on Thursday afternoon. Tupman, a music educator and arts activist based in B.C., was conducting clinics at schools while in Weyburn to speak about the benefits of having a Performing Arts Centre.

Adding color to youth centre

April Dammann adds some final touches to a six month long art project which is nearing completion. The gigantic mural, which graces the entrance way of the Weyburn Youth Centre, is just one of the many artistic pieces she contributed to the building. Dammann is also responsible for various art on nearly all the walls of the centre.
