Festival of Trees

C.J. Mainil of the Weyburn Credit Union shows Alexis Larson and Lindee Larson through the Second Annual Festival of Trees display on a special viewing night on Thursday. The Festival, an annual fund-raiser for the Family Place, wrapped up on Tuesday, when all 13 trees and more than 20 silent auction items and wreaths were sold off to the highest bidder.

A meeting of the "musical" minds

Members from the Young Fellows Club of Weyburn and the RCMP met earlier this week to discuss some of the details about having the RCMP Musical Ride return to the city next September. Those at this preliminary meeting included RCMP Cpl. Art Hopkins, Scott Paxman, Kerry Dolter, Jim Stewart, Mike King, Lyle Ballard, Sandy McCormick and RCMP Musical Ride Coordinator Mark Durreaux.
