Weyburn area residents are invited to the Weyburn Comprehensive School to see a comedy drama production of Neil Simon's "Fool" on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 3 and 4.

The play will be held at 7:30 p.m. on both nights in the Cafetorium.

The comedy takes place in a Ukrainian village when a new teacher arrives to educate the local children, and features many of last year's musical performers along with some new talent.

The eighth annual WCS Fowl Supper had a record-breaking 621 people attend on Monday night. Organizers were happy with both the turnout and volunteer work of the students and parents. Entertainment was provided by the jazz band, choir, drama department, Ashley Sproat, Megan Ivan and Desiree Harder, as well as an impromptu performance at the end of the supper by some members of the choir.

The fall music concert will take place in the Cafetorium on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature the two concert bands, jazz band and choir, with varied numbers including songs for the season.

The senior girls basketball team will be off to Notre Dame this weekend for their opening tournament of the season, while the B squad will attend a tournament in Assiniboia.
