The annual fall music concert for the Weyburn Comprehensive School will take place tonight, Dec. 12, in the Cafetorium starting at 7:30 p.m.

The program will start with a candlelight number by the choir and build to a grand finale with all 145 music students taking part. In between there will be a wide variety of musical numbers by the two bands, jazz band and choir.

There will be a school dance on Friday, along with the first day of the senior girls basketball tournament, which will wrap up on Saturday. The junior girls will play in a tournament in Torquay, and the senior boys will play exhibition games against Fillmore, Radville and Yellow Grass. The boys hope to have an alumni game on Thursday, Dec. 27.

Over the past weekend, the senior boys won the B side in Humboldt after losing to Meadow Lake in the first game of the tournament. They came back with wins over Birch Hills and Prince Albert Westmore.

The senior girls went 1-and-2 in a tournament in Lethbridge, Alta.
