Weyburn was warmer and wetter than average during the month just passed and broke a heat record on one day, as well. According to records kept by Environment Canada's weather station in Weyburn, the city basked in a high temperature of four degrees above zero on Jan. 6, breaking a previous record of three degrees above zero. The previous record had been set in both 1963 and 1984. Records have been kept in Weyburn for the past 50 years, since 1952-53. But Jan. 6 was not even the warmest day of the month in this city, which occurred the very next day, on Jan. 7 when the thermometer reached 7.5 degrees above zero. The record for Jan. 7 is 8.5, set just last year, in 2002. The warm weather turned much colder in the third week of the
