Snow serpent

A sculpture of a sea serpent rears its head on the lawn of Max and Janie Himsl on Second Street. The ice sculpture emerges from the snow as though breaking the surface of a sea. Consisting of a head, middle torso and tail, the ice dragon was created by Janie Himsl last week, and has drawn a number of curious onlookers.

A collection of hearts

The St. Michael School cheerleading squad holds up the mini-Valentine baskets they made on Friday afternoon in preparation for St. Valentine's Day, which is this Friday, Feb. 14.
