A total of 64 players from Weyburn, Assiniboia, Fillmore and Midale took part in the badminton tournament co-hosted by the Weyburn Junior High and St. Michael School over the weekend.

The results are as follows:

Mason Melle of the Weyburn Junior High won the boys' singles category by defeating Jarrod Sidloski of St. Mikes.

Meahgan Vandenhurk of Midale defeated Vanessa Wick of St. Mikes to win the girls' singles category.

In girls' doubles, Kayla Giroux and Chelsey Hudson of St. Mikes defeated their schoolmates Sara Storle and Lindsey Renz.

In mixed doubles, Karli Johnson and Mitch McIvor of the WJH defeated Brent Reid and Haley Coderre of St. Mikes.

In boys doubles, Matt Geske and Steven Eberts of Midale defeated Colby Mainil and Derek Stainbrook of St. Mikes.
