The Soo Line Boxing Club will host their last card of the 2002-2003 season this Saturday, April 26, at Elks Hall.

The card will start at 7 p.m. The event will feature boxers from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and North Dakota.

This event promises something new for spectators, as there will be female boxers in addition to male boxers on the card.

The main event will feature Joel Franks of Weyburn, the Saskatchewan champion in his weight class and a silver medallist at the 2003 Canada Winter Games in New Brunswick.

Franks will fight Manitoba champion Hazen Chessie of Winnipeg.

The semi-main event will feature North Dakota Golden Glove champion Eric Stanley of New Town, N.D.

Another feature bout will pit hard-punching light heavyweight Ashley Herberholz against rodeo bullrider Johnny Hale of New Town, N.D.

This will be the last event held by the Soo Line Boxing Club at the Elks Hall, which is closing its doors this summer.
