The mean minimum temperature was 5.5, close to the long term running average, for the last 50 years, of 4.3C. The coldest temperature recorded in May over the past 50 years is -13C, recorded. May 1, 1954. The total precipitation this month was 45.8 mm, compared to the long-term running average of 50.8. The highest amount of precipitation falling on the city this month was set in 1965, with 164.1 mm. The record low precipitation for May is 1.2 mm, set in 1980.
