There is room for up 120 golfers at the 33rd annual Labatt's Crocus Masters Golf Classic, to be held this Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22, at the Weyburn Golf Club. Entry fees for the annual tournament are $55 for Weyburn Golf Club members and $75 for non-members. The entry fee includes 36 holes of golf on both days and a barbecue steak supper on Saturday evening. The fee also includes a free practice round of golf for non-members on Friday. Golfers may register by phoning the Pro shop. The deadline to enter the tournament is Friday, June 20. The tournament will be played in a stroke play format, with each golfer shooting 18 holes for both days. The event begins with tee-off on Saturday at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The presentation of prizes will then be at 3 p.m. later that day. The Classic will feature the normal long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests, but there will also be one $25,000 hole-in-one prize that can go towards the purchase of a car, or two additional $5,000 hole-in-one prizes. |
