The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will hold its third annual street fair on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 8-9, in conjunction with the Weyburn Wheat Festival and the rodeo.

The chamber is asking all businesses to participate in some way. It's asking that all businesses participating, whether downtown or in another location, inform the Chamber to be included in its advertising and planning.

Registration is $50 for non-members and no cost for members. Registration must be in by Friday, Aug. 1.

"We need businesses to register with us for planning purposes, to make space and advertising arrangements," said Chamber manager Carole Coccimiglio on Thursday.

Last year, about 20 businesses participated in the street fair but others held their own sidewalk sale or events timed to coincide with the fair, she said.

The Chamber will provide security for the downtown area from Friday at 7 p.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m.
