Painting Wheat Festival windows

Mallory Nelson of Yellow Grass paints the inside of the windows at the Royal Bank on Third Street with a farming landscape. Many downtown businesses decorate their windows for the Wheat Festival window contest. The Weyburn Rodeo, Heritage Day and Wheat Festival all take place August 8, 9 and 10.

Flying around the world

Philipp Sturm and Danielle Rentsch, both from Switzerland, relax in front of their motor glider at the Weyburn Airport on July 23 before they take off. The pair touched down in Weyburn on July 22 during their flight around the world. They are celebrating 100 years of powered flight with their journey.
