The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is lining up a number of fun events for its third annual Street Fair, to accompany the city's Weyburn Wheat Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8-9. Chamber manager Carole Coccimiglio said Thursday the Regina Kennel and Obedience Club will offer a dog show on both Saturday and Sunday, all day. A remote control car demonstration will also be set up, she said, with a reptile show coming in from Pike Lake. The show includes a tarantula and baby crocodile, says Coccimiglio. A bubble machine that allows children to surround themselves with bubbles will be brought in. All Street Fair events will be held on 3rd Street in the downtown area, with no charge for admission. Merchants throughout the city will participate in the events, either in the downtown or from their own location. |
