The Salvation Army food bank is in need of food donations. "The shelves are bare," according to Carrie Blohm with Family Services.

The store has been busy over the summer with garage sales and has received a number of garage sale items as donations. Funds raised from the garage sales all go towards the food bank.

Canada Post usually holds a food drive in August or September, Blohm said, but food donations would be appreciated until that event.
