The Weyburn Midget Beavers played in provincials over the long weekend in Moose Jaw, finishing third in their pool and not advancing to the semi-final.

In the first game, they played Moose Jaw Canucks, losing 6-5. In that game, the Beavers got two runs. Ben Shugart got to first on an error, Braden Messer and Mat Larson singled, Larson got the RBI and Messer scored on an error.

The Beavers tied it up in the fifth with two runs. Gerad Fox got to first on an error and scored on an error. Ben Shugart also got to first on an error and stole home. In the sixth, Moose Jaw got two runs to make the score 6-4. In the seventh, Beavers came back with one run. Mat Larson singled, Josh Williams doubled, Troy Miller walked, Larson stole home.

Pitchers were Parker Cameron, Ryan Thompson and Devin Ledingham.

In game two, the Beavers played Saskatoon Giants winning 10-9. In the first, they opened with seven runs. Gerad Fox walked, Ben Shugart singled, giving Braden Messer the RBI. Mat Larson, Josh Williams and Troy Miller all singled, giving Larson and Miller RBIs. Parker Cameron singled for an RBI. Clinton Griffiths got hit by a pitch and got the RBI. Gerad Fox walked for an RBI and Ben Shugart also received an RBI.

In the sixth, Giants went ahead by two runs. In the seventh, Beaver got three runs to win the game. Troy Miller singled, Parker Cameron got on base on a Fielder's Choice, Tyler Vargo singled, Gerad Fox singled for the RBI. Ben Shugart got on base on a fielder's choice, Braden Messer got a double for two RBIs and the winning runs. Pitchers were Devin Ledingham and Mat Larson.

In game three, Beavers played Regina White Sox losing 13-9. In the first, Gerad Fox walked, Devin Ledingham singled for the RBI. In the third, Gerad Fox walked, Ben Shugart and Devin Ledingham singled, giving Ledingham the RBI.

In the sixth, the Beavers were down 10-3, and they scored five runs. Parker Cameron, Mat Mickleborough both singled, Mickleborough got the RBI. Ben Shugart and Braden Messer singled, Messer got two RBIs. Devin Ledingham got to first on an error, Mat Larson doubled for two RBIs.

In the seventh, Parker Cameron hit a solo home run. Pitchers were Clinton Griffiths, Ryan Thompson and Mat Larson.

In league action, the Beavers played Regina Dodgers in the first round of playoffs, winning two straight of best out of three. On July 28, the Beavers played in Regina, winning 11-8. In the first they got three runs, Becky Schneider singled, Devin Ledingham walked, Mat Larson singled and all scored on errors. In the third, Dodger took the lead 5-3.

In the fourth, Bucky Schneider singled, Braden Messer doubled for an RBI. In the fifth, Dodgers were winning 8-4. In the seventh, Beavers got seven runs. Ben Shugart singled, Troy Miller got to first on an error, Parker Cameron singled for an RBI. Gerad Fox singled to load the bases, Tyler Vargo walked for the RBI. Still loaded bases, Braden Messer doubled for two RBIs and scored on an error. Devin Ledingham also got an RBI. Mat Larson got to first on an error, Ben Shugart doubled for two RBIs. Pitchers were Ryan Thompson, Josh Williams, and Parker Cameron.

In the second game, they won 11-3. In the first, with six runs, Gerad Fox, Bucky Schneider walked. Schneider scored on an error. Braden Messer singled for an RBI. John Williams on first on a fielders' choice for the RBI and Ben Shugart singled both scoring on errors. Parker Cameron got to first on an error and Tyler Vargo singled. Mat Mickleborough and Bucky Schneider walked, giving Schneider the RBI.

In the fourth, Devin Ledingham walked, giving Ben Shugart the RBI. In the fifth, Tyler Vargo walked and scored on an error. Troy Miller, Braden Messer singled, giving Messer the RBI. In the sixth, Ben Shugart and Parker Cameron walked, Tyler Vargo singled, Ryan Thompson got the RBI. Gerad Fox walked. Cameron scored on an error. Pitchers were Clinton Griffiths, Mat Larson, Devin Ledingham and Tyler Vargo.
