Steer wrestling

Kirk Fisher, of Weyburn, on the right, goes after the steer as hazer Mark Gee of Bengough, guides it, during the steer wrestling event at the Weyburn Rodeo on Sunday afternoon. In spite of the heat, officials say the crowds were about the same size as last year. This year's rodeo began with a performance on Saturday night, another on Sunday morning and the last one on Sunday afternoon.

Fresh air with breakfast

Sherry Anderson, on the left, Karen Becker, and Carla Lillejord, from the Weyburn Credit Union, flipped pancakes early Friday morning for the downtown breakfast that kicked off Weyburn's annual Wheat Festival and Street Fair. The breakfast was sponsored by all the financial institutions in the city, with proceeds to the United Way.
