Gordy Netzell, on the right, of Calgary and Michael
Maxwell Smith of Vancouver, lay the binder in preparation for
the second of three coats of rubber Wednesday on the new track
for the 2004 Saskatchewan Summer Games. The track, next to the
Weyburn Comprehensive School, should be ready for use this week.
Volunteers were organized to watch the track when work crews
were not around, to make sure no marks were made by dogs or people
riding bikes or walking on it. Curing takes about three days. |
