Sun Country's fish derby

Doris Meckum shows one of the good-sized rainbow trout she caught at the Sun Country Regional Health Authority's fish derby on Saturday at the new Tatagwa Pond. On the right is Dieter Kauf who caught about 60 of the fish before lunch, although he threw 30 back because they were too small. "I would fish every day if I could," he said. He was using canned corn as bait. The pond was stocked with 600 trout this spring to eat the bugs and keep the water clean. The afternoon ended with a fish fry.
