Most of the high schools in the Weyburn area have selected their Student Representative Councils (SRC) for the new school year, and many are already making plans for activities for their respective schools. The president of Oungre's Lyndale School student council this year is Shandel Herlick. Vice-president is Natasha Ashworth and secretary-treasurer is Karla Evert. Room rep for Grade 9/10 is Julie Williams and for Grade 7/8 is Brooke Johnson. At Fillmore's 33 Central School, Graeme Cross is president of that student council, while Brandon Sletten is vice-president. Sean Dunham is secretary and Reanne Ogden is the treasurer. Senior activities co-ordinator is Kalida Kennedy and Leah Ogden is junior activities co-ordinator. The SRC at Stoughton Central School is composed of Michael Raiwet as president, Rebecca Adams as vice president, Jessica Wilton as secretary and Jason Goudy as treasurer. Midale Central School is ready for a busy year as Megan Martinson leads the SRC as president, with Brittany Purvis as her vice-president. Samantha Scheirer is secretary while Kevin Truman is treasurer this year. Boys' sports rep is Ryan Thompson and girls' sports rep is Bri-anna Messer. Jenna Ganje is in charge of the canteen and Kyle Hoium is the social convenor for the year. Radville High School does not have a student council per se, but all students from Grade 7 to 12 are split into different groups to make decisions. This year, the Grade 7 class is representing Students Against Drinking and Driving, the Grade 8's are in charge of spirit and Grade 9's will conduct special events. The Grade 10 class are in charge of athletics, the Grade 11's will decide on fund-raising and ordering while the Grade 12's represent the aesthetics of the school. At Gladmar Regional High School, the SRC executive includes president Davin Petersen; vice-president of public relations Jill Melle and Loran Thue; treasurer Kendra Axten; secretary Rebekah Rude; and spirit boosters Michael Floer and Andrew Woitas. The room reps are, for Grade 7, Rachelle Axten; Grade 8, Kaitlyn Rude; Grade 9, Jessica LaBatte; Grade 10, Jessie Rude; Grade 11, Brooke Watson; and Grade 12, Stephanie Hlavka. The executive for Milestone High School includes president Neil Struthers; vice-presidents Jessica Galbraith and Jason Sherman, secretary Kayla Shannon and treasurer Richard Garratt. The staff advisors are Judy Bradley and David Hawkins. At Yellow Grass High School the SRC executive is comprised of president Brittni Marshall, vice-president Jason Whitrow and secretary Hallie Marshall. Pangman High School has only selected the president of the SRC so far, namely Kaela McCutcheon. The balance of the executive will be chosen in the next few days. |
