435 items to be auctioned off at Pangman fund-raiser

A 1979 Lincoln Town Car, a 1952 Studebaker Champion six-cylinder automatic, a 1914 cash register, old horse-drawn wagons, vintage toys, jewelry, a centuries-old Swedish-built knitting machine and an ash rolltop desk are just some of items available this Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Antiques and Collectibles Auction in Pangman.

This event is a fund-raiser for Heavenly Creations Gifts and Crafts, a non-profit organization in Pangman that sells collectibles made by local crafters.

Proceeds from the auction will go to upkeep of their Pangman store, who is run totally by volunteers. Heavenly Creations will receive a small percentage of all sales at the auction after expenses.

Antiques and collectibles are being pulled from around Saskatchewan and from a consignor in Winnipeg, Man. Joyce Kaufmann, who is involved in organizing the event, said a good auction will have roughly 300 items to sell.

The Pangman auction, however, has more than 435 items, she added.

The event will be held at the Pangman Rec Centre. Viewing will be between 9 and 10:30 a.m., with the auction taking place at 10:30 a.m.

Catalogues of all items will be available at the auction. For complete details, check out the D and F Auction link at: www.auctionsales.ca

Following the auction, there will also be a fowl supper held at the Rec Centre around 6 p.m. There will be admission charged for the supper.
