Teams selected for 4A soccer prov'ls in Weyburn

Weyburn will be competing against Balgonie, Saskatoon, Caronport, Regina LeBoldus, Prince Albert Carlton, North Battleford John Paul and Swift Current at the 4A Girls Soccer playoffs this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24-25.

The Comp Eagles girls' soccer team will serve as the host for the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association (SHSAA) provincials.

As the host, Weyburn got an automatic slot into the eight-team tournament, which will be held at the Weyburn Comprehensive School field and Jubilee Park.

The first games will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, with Weyburn playing Balgonie at the Comp field and Saskatoon playing Prince Albert at Jubilee.

The next two games at 11 a.m. pit Caronport against North Battleford at the Comp, and Regina against Swift Current at Jubilee.

Games will then be played at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on both fields.

The consolation, bronze and gold finals will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. respectively. All three finals will be held at the Comp.

Any team that wins at least one game on Friday will move into Saturday's action.
