Skating coach Susan Nagy talks with skater Kelsey
Nagy of Weyburn, following her performance in the Pre-Novice
Ladies free skate held on Thursday evening in the Colosseum.
She had reason to smile, as she nailed a triple jump to earn
top marks from the judges, enabling her to move on the competition
on Saturday. Weyburn was host to 75 skaters from around the province
for the BMO Skate Canada Sectionals, with the top performers
chosen for the provincial skating team to take part in the Western
Challenge or the Junior National Championships, depending on
their age level. |
