Rotary ag students to visit WIT

The Weyburn Inland Terminal will play a feature role for a group of Rotary students interested in careers in agriculture, when they visit here from Agribition.

There will be about six students from each province in Western Canada here for Agribition, hosted by the Rotary clubs in and around the Regina area.

Their time here will involve a number of activities and tours, including sessions on beef judging and public speaking, presentations on ag careers, taking in the Agribition rodeo and visiting the Weyburn Inland Terminal on Friday afternoon, Nov. 28. The Weyburn trip will be the only out-of-town tour the group will make.

They will also have a presentation from the Canadian Wheat Board, will have a banquet on the Saturday evening, and each participant will make a presentation on an area they have researched on the Sunday before they return to their home communities.

The topics they are looking into include the future of family farms, and the viability and benefits of ethanol production.
