A touch of frost

Frost-touched branches of trees at River Park reach up to a clear blue sky following a foggy morning recently in the Weyburn area. The humidity of the frost coated everything with hoar frost, making for postcard scenes throughout the city and area, until the sun melted the frost away. The scene may very well be repeated as we enter a new year, and city and area residents go outdoors to enjoy the wintery scenes during the holidays.

Celebrating first birthday!

Cade Bendtsen looks tiny sitting on a chair made out of pop cases, playing as he celebrates his first birthday coming up. Cade was Weyburn's New Year's baby for 2003, born on Jan. 2 to Lloyd and Tara Bendtsen of Carlyle, weighing nine pounds one ounce. He was the second New Year's born in the Bendtsen family, as his sister Jorja was the first baby of the year 2000 in Weyburn.
