Speaker Myron Kowalsky of the Saskatchewan Legislature,
dressed in his formal garb, talks to Grade 8 students at St.
Michael Junior High about the history and purpose for his position.
He visited the class on Thursday to oversee a mock session of
the Legislature, with the students divided into two school parties,
the Tiger Lilies on the government side and the Prairie Dogs
for the opposition. One of the bills introduced on the government
side was in support of school uniforms at St. Michael School.
The real Legislature will open with the Throne Speech on Thursday,
March 18. |
