Melba Bent was named as winner of the Frances McMurtry sportsmanship award at the annual meeting of the Senior Ladies Curling Club, held on March 30 at the Weyburn Curling Club.

Melba was presented with a watch. She is the seventh winner of the memorial watch award which was established by the McMurtry family.

The Whitteron trophy for the winning team of the Senior Ladies Curling League was presented to the Pat Hall rink. Pat Hall was skip, Jean Fahlman was third, Lorraine Herberholz was second and Pat Cugnet lead.

The club's executive for the 2004-05 season is: Helen Frycz, past president; Claire Kuhn, president; Rita Martyn, first vice-president; Jeanette Hamm, second vice-president; Elsie Ellingson, secretary; and Delois Sunde, treasurer.
