Riding through the rock dodge

Grade 1 student Jade Pelechaty rides around an obstacle on the road as parent volunteer Sophie Lenferna, at rear right, watches her progress during the St. Dominic bike rodeo on Wednesday. The rodeo was held at a few schools in the last week by the Weyburn Police Service, along with parent volunteers, with the main focus on safety and avoiding crashes or collisions. The emphasis of the rodeo included watching for traffic, not swerving without looking back and obeying stop signs.

High jump

Weyburn Comprehensive School student Dezi Smith clears the bar at the girls' high jump event on Friday at the district track and field championship at the Comp. The districts were originally slated for earlier in the week, but was postponed due to rain. The event drew competitors from around southeast Saskatchewan.
