After the storm

A section of Railway Avenue lies under water from around Eighth Street past Ninth Street following a thunderstorm on Wednesday evening that dumped 32.2 millimetres of rain in less than an hour. This section of Railway was blocked off by city police as a car was flooded, and manhole covers were blown off by the volume of water going through the storm sewers. The storm also had intense lightning as it passed through the city and area.

Riding through the drive-in

Horse enthusiasts Calli Tracey and Jade Ivan ride their horses through the drive-in window at Dairy Queen on Thursday, ordering a cool drink on a hot summer day. The two are members of a 4-H horse club, and took their horses for a ride through the city.
