The Lang Angels will host the Saskatchewan Baseball Association (SBA) Senior AA Provincial Playdowns in Weyburn this July 30-Aug. 2 weekend. Along with the Angels, the Marysburg Royals, Saskatoon Outlaws, Holdfast Trappers and Lloydminster Twins have also qualified for the provincials. The winner of the provincials advances to the Western Canadian Baseball finals in Manitoba. The tournament includes a round-robin format, with the first two games on Friday, July 30, at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. There are four games at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, July 31-Aug. 1. The provincials wrap up Monday, Aug. 2, with games at noon and 3 p.m. if necessary. The Lang Angels play the Saskatoon Outlaws at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. All games will be held at Tom Laing Park in Weyburn. Everyone is welcome to come out and cheer on the Lang Angels as they make their bid for the provincial crown.
