Game over!

Members of the Zone 1 team clap and cheer during the closing ceremonies of the 2004 Saskatchewan Summer Games, which were held Saturday at the Comp School outdoor track. Zone 1 athletes were among the more successful at the Games, scoring a total 58 medals (24 gold, 20 silver, 14 bronze) and placing second overall in total aggregate points for the Games flag.

A helping hand

Coach Megan Leach pours some water on the back of Zone 1 cyclist Rikki Becker during the mountain biking trials on Saturday. The grueling course at Signal Hill was not made easier by high temperatures that morning, and coaches were pouring water on cyclists as they mounted a particular difficult hill on the track. Cycling was a featured event at the Saskatchewan Summer Games.
