Emberley brothers at nationals

Weyburn native ball players Dustin and Landon Emberley spent Aug. 25-29 in Moncton, New Brunswick as members of a team playing at the 2004 Senior Baseball Championships.

Their team, the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets, represented Saskatchewan at the national tournament.

After playing six games with a 5-1 record, they ended the tournament by playing Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, for the gold medal.

Saskatchewan ended up with the loss, with a score of 10-4.

Dustin Emberley was the winning pitcher in Game 5 against Calgary, with a score of 6-1. Landon was named to the All-Star team as the left fielder, and was the number two top hitter in the round robin.
