| The Weyburn Public Library has lots of activities
scheduled for the fall season. In September and October, there
will be author readings, toddler story times, the book club,
computer classes and many other events. On Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 7-8 p.m., the book club will meet as it does on the first Wednesday of every month, with computer basics from 2-3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15 and a session on urban retirement planning from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16. Author Robert Collins, of Butter Down the Well fame, will give a reading from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, with author Mary Bishop scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 30. The regular toddler and preschool story times on Tuesdays and Thursdays will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 7. On Wednesday, Sept. 22, a party with reading, games and modge podge from 4-5 p.m. for children ages 5-8 will be held at the library. October begins with a computer basics class on Monday, Oct. 4, with a used book sale later that week on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 6-7. A new program called Building Better Bonds with Baby from 1-1:30 for children from six months to 1.5 years will be held Oct. 13, 20 and 27. On Thursday, Oct. 14, a session on digital photography will be held at the library from 7-8:30 p.m. and author Rod McIntyre, will read on Monday, Oct. 18. On Wednesday, Oct. 27, a Halloween party will be held from 4-5 p.m. for children ages 5-8. Saskatchewan Library Week will be celebrated Sunday-Saturday, Oct. 17-23. |
