Jerry Dickison shows the pullout turntable in a vintage
radio console, part of his collection of some 1,200 radios housed
in his basement. The radio he's showing is an RCA Victrola from
1935, and included a second smaller turntable in the drawer above
this one, as well as AM, FM and shortwave radio bands, powered
by 21 vacuum tubes. See the full story in the Oct. 20 issue of
the Weyburn Review. |
