Weyburn Comprehensive School will hold its three-way conferences from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9 and from 8:30-10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10. At these times, the parents and student will meet with their SAS teacher. Individual subject teacher interviews can be arranged from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday and 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The girls soccer team finished fourth in 2A provincials in Moose Jaw last weekend. The team had a great season and members are looking forward to an even better season next year. The senior girls volleyball team won its tournament, the senior boys lost in the semi-finals in the Balgonie tournament, and the junior girls lost in the semi-finals in a tournament in Assiniboia. The football team defeated Notre Dame in quarter finals and played Regina Luther on Tuesday.

This weekend, the volleyball teams are in their last tournaments of the year with the junior boys in Balgonie, the senior boys in Yorkton and the senior girls in Lumsden.

WCS is hosting the southern girls 5A regionals on Saturday, Nov. 13 and the boys will travel to Estevan for the southern regionals. The top three teams advance to provincials, to be held in Prince Albert the following weekend.

Some fairly big events are coming up in the next month. The annual WCS fowl supper will be held on Monday, Nov. 29 and a Christmas Extravagance, featuring the band, choir and drama, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 7 and Thursday, Dec. 9. Reserved tickets for the Christmas show will go on sale in mid-November.
