Packing for Operation Christmas Child

The absolute deadline to get boxes in for distribution this Christmas is Saturday, Nov. 13, at the depot located at the Weyburn Free Methodist Church, at the corner of Coteau Avenue and 14th Street. Suggested items include small toys like cars, balls, dolls and stuffed toys, along with small school supplies and personal hygiene items.

Weyburn's War Mother 2004

Pearl Little, named as the Weyburn Legion's War Mother for the 2004 Remembrance Day service, holds photos of her brother, John MacLeod, and her father, Kenneth MacLeod, both veterans of the Second World War. Pearl will lay a wreath at the Remembrance Day service at the cenotaph on behalf of War Mothers on Thursday, Nov. 11. For related feature story, check out the Nov. 10 issue of the Weyburn Review.
