A girls' hockey clinic with Team Saskatchewan

Weyburn Minor Hockey girls gather around with the Under-18 Team Saskatchewan players for a hockey clinic in the Colosseum on Saturday. The Team Saskatchewan players helped the younger girls with skating, shooting and puck-handling skills during the clinic. The team was in Weyburn for a round of three games of elite women's hockey with the U of R Cougars and the Under-18 Team Manitoba.

Christmas trees arrive

Young Fellows Club member Jim Stewart helps unload a semi-trailer of Christmas trees, which arrived Friday morning in time for the Young Fellows to stock their tree lot. The lot will open for the Christmas season on Monday, Nov. 29 in the lot behind Co-op Foods on Second Street, with such varieties as Douglas fir, white pine, Fraser, sheered firs and balsams. The sale of Christmas trees is one of the club's major fund-raisers of the year, with all proceeds staying in the community.
