The Weyburn Youth Centre will hold a band night on Friday, Nov. 26, featuring four bands from 7:30 p.m. to 12 midnight.

The two opening acts are local Weyburn bands, Four Foot Tall and Last Besides You.

The members of Four Foot Tall include Logan Roysum, Ryland Squires, Brock Struthers and Dylan Kvamme. Last Besides You includes Ryan York, Terran Buck and Jeff Lunde.

Two Winnipeg bands will headline the evening, including The Reception and the main band, Threadline.

"This is a rockin' Canadian band, and they've built up quite a following here," said youth centre director Brian Hopfe of Threadline, adding this will be about the fourth time the group has played here.

The band has recently released a CD titled, Undefined..

The cost for the evening is $5 per person at the door, and the event is open to all ages.

Also coming up soon at the Youth Centre will be comedian Leland Klassen on Monday, Dec. 13, as part of his Saskatchewan tour.

Hopfe said Klassen has toured and travelled with well-known Christian comedian Mark Lowry, and has appeared at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal along with appearances on TV and radio. More details about this event will be available later.
