Longtime emcee honoured

Isabelle Butters, the emcee of the Quota Festival of Carols for its first 50 years, is presented a bouquet of flowers and a golden baton by this year's new emcee, Kathy Coroluick, at the start of the festival Sunday afternoon at Grace United Church. Butters was able to use her golden baton by leading in the final song at both festival performances in the afternoon and evening.

A girls' goalie clinic

Team Saskatchewan goalies Kayley Herman, from Weyburn, and Vanessa Frederick show proper blocking techniques to three Weyburn goalies during a clinic for Weyburn Minor Hockey girls' teams on Nov. 20 at the Colosseum. This was part of an elite women's hockey weekend in Weyburn, with the Under-18 Team Saskatchewan, Under-18 Team Manitoba and the U of R Cougars facing off in three exhibition games over the weekend.
