Smokers, bar-owners protest provincial ban

A group of bar-owners, smokers and others gather in front of the Weyburn courthouse on Monday morning, voicing their anger and concern over the provincial smoking ban. They came from all over the province for this rally, which coincided with Royal Hotel owner Rob Joyal's first court appearance over defying the provincial smoking ban. Practicing for the Music Festival

With her family and her instructor listening in the background, Kendra McCallum practices on the piano at the T.C. Douglas Centre on Thursday for the upcoming Rotary Music Festival. Kendra is entered in all three categories of the festival: piano, vocal and instrumental. The annual festival runs Feb. 28 to March 19, breaking on the two Sundays in between.
