Anyone in the Weyburn area planning to hold a wedding or special event for their family or to mark the province's centennial will want to check out the Special Event and Wedding Expo this month.

The expo will be put on by about 25 Weyburn and area businesses at the Weyburn Legion Hall on Sunday, March 13.

Doors will open at 1 p.m., and a fashion show will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Organizer Lisa Vick said the goal of the event is to bring businesses together with those who are planning such events as weddings, anniversaries, Centennial celebrations, family reunions, wind-ups, staff parties, birthday parties, fund-raisers and so on.

Displays include providers of such services or products as photography, videography, scrapbooks, flowers, formal wear, casual wear, invitations, transportation, location rentals, catering, cakes, travel, hair and make-up, esthetics, jewelry, gift registry, giftware, deejay services, bands, rentals, financial services, real estate and more.
