The Weyburn Comprehensive School will host Grade 9 night on Monday, March 21. Parents and Grade 9 students are invited to come at 7 p.m. to learn more about their move to the Comp in September.

On Tuesday night, March 22, the Weyburn Concert Series will present pianist Jim Witter, and on Wednesday, March 23, is the Weyburn Music Festival's Stars of the Festival, starting at 7 p.m. in the Cafetorium.

The Comp band will be attending the Regina Optimist Music Festival today, March 16. There is a school dance on Friday, March 18, and the school debate team will be taking part in a tournament in Yorkton this weekend. The grads will also be building their pizzas on Sunday, to fill the orders for their fund-raiser.

Over the past weekend, the senior girls basketball team won both games of the 4A regional playoff held in the Comp gym, and will advance on to Hoopla this weekend in Saskatoon. The senior boys lost both games at the Small Cities Championship held in Prince Albert.

In provincial wrestling, Anna Semen finished third, Mike Fenwick placed fourth and Brett Semen was fifth in their respective weight categories.
