Nominations now closed for Women of the Year

Nominations have now closed for the fifth annual Women of the Year awards, which will be handed out to four recipients on Tuesday, April 19.

Quota International of Weyburn will be hosting the Women of the Year Nominees tea, sponsored by Valleyview Petroleum, on Sunday, April 3.

The tea will be held from 2-4 p.m. in the upper hall of the Grace United Church. At the tea, Quota will acknowledge the nominees by inviting them to the stage and presenting them with a small gift from the award sponsor.

The nominator is also mentioned at this time.

A volunteer selection committee will review all nominations for the four awards, which include the SaskPower WorkPlace Excellence award, the Quota International of Weyburn Community Service award, the Access Communications Exceptional Entrepreneur award and the Investors Group Young Woman of Distinction award.

Tickets for the awards luncheon are available at Sylvia's Fashions and Accessories.

This year's speaker at the luncheon, which will be held at McKenna Hall in Weyburn, is Donna Brunskill, executive director of the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association.
