Final touches for RBC decoration

The final panels are installed on a large exterior window decoration for the Royal Bank Cup, on the side of the Royal Bank on Thursday. The decoration features Weyburn Red Wing player Brendan Vertefeuille on the left, and the logo for the national Junior A hockey championship, which is set to run May 7-14 at the Weyburn Colosseum.

Auction display

Weyburn Young Fellows Dale Renz, Don Baillie, Charles Reis and Derek Boe show off some of the items Weyburn residents can bid on during the YF TV Auction on Saturday, March 16. Renz is holding a hockey stick signed by 17 members of the Calgary Oval X-Treme women's hockey team, Baillie is holding a John Deere model tractor, Ries is displaying a set of 1976 Olympic coins and Boe has a curling broom signed by Joan McCusker, Jan Betker, Randy Ferbey and others. These items, and others, are set up in a small display at the Weyburn Credit Union.
