The junior high badminton season is well underway, with the St. Michael School Tigers capturing four of a possible five gold medals at a badminton tournament in Midale on Saturday.

Derek Geisler won for boys' singles, Taylor Hoffman won for girls' singles, Rolan Anderson and Colton Jensen won for boys' doubles and Jon Neuberger and Jessica Pyett won for mixed doubles.

On Saturday, April 16, there will be a badminton skills camp at the WJH hosted by the Saskatchewan Badminton Association.

This is a free badminton clinic for students offered at both junior high schools. Though many students will have signed up already, any other student who wants to sign up should contact teacher Tara Hale.

St. Mikes and the WJH will then co-host a tournament on the April 23-24 weekend.

District championships will also be held in Weyburn on the May 7-8 weekend.
