Red Wing movers

Red Wings Matthew Scott and Colby Nichol help out with the removal of toys and furniture from the Family Place on Thursday morning, just prior to the organizations' big auction fund-raiser later that evening. Though the Family Place is in a new location downtown, they left many items at Souris Valley when they moved. The Red Wings took a break from practicing on Thursday to help them out.

Opening Ceremonies

After 18 months of careful planning, the 2005 National Junior A Royal Bank Cup opened at the Weyburn Colosseum Saturday night. The host Weyburn Red Wings dropped the opening game of the tournament to the Portage Terriers 2-1 in double overtime Saturday night, but the team bounced back with a strong 4-3 win over the Georgetown, Ontario Raiders on Sunday night. The tournament will wrap up with the championship game Sunday, May 15.
