Old-fashioned coffee grinder

Alisa McLeod, tour guide at Weyburn's Heritage Village, shows a group of Grade 2 students from St. Dominic Savio how this large-scale coffee grinder worked, during a tour of the village on Wednesday. A number of classes from the school toured the village and the Soo Line Historical Museum last week as part of their Pioneer Week, held to celebrate the province's Centennial.

HRDC Barbecue for Big Brothers and Sisters

Letitia Hemingson on the left and Kerri Hill at centre, summer employment officers at the Human Resource Centre of Canada for Students, pose a job application-oriented question to barbecue-goer Linda Rudachyk as other HRDC employees tend the grill Wednesday during noon hour in the City Centre Mall courtyard. The barbecue, the first of four to be held throughout the summer to raise money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, netted around $155 in its first try.
