Walking through the Oil Show

Darcy Cretin, chairman of the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show, accompanies Premier Lorne Calvert on a tour of the outdoor exhibits of the Oil Show during the premier's visit to Weyburn on Wednesday. The premier, along with a couple of cabinet ministers, were on hand for the Centennial Luncheon, and had a full look through the 300 exhibits on display on the Weyburn fair grounds.

Relaying for Life

Walking together as a group, the green-shirted Benclows stroll down the walking path at Riverside Park on Friday night as one of the 25 teams participating in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay For Life. The Benclows hailed mostly from Bengough, where there is an unusually high percentage of cancer sufferers. However, they were just one of many teams that came from outside of Weyburn to participate in the all-night Relay, which has become one of the Southeast Unit's biggest fund-raisers.
