Ready for Cruise Night

The group of downtown businessmen and women known as the Happy Gang gather around Al York's1968 Camaro, an example of the classic and antique automobiles that will be on display at the fourth annual Cruise Night this Friday, June 24, from 5-10 p.m. Specialty cars, motorcycles and many other unique vehicles will be on display along Second and Third Streets on Friday. Anyone wanting to display a car need only pay a $5 registration. Last year, there were over 130 vehicles on display and literally hundreds of spectators for the popular event. In the back row are Trevor Blaine, Laurie Lawrence, Jeremie Webster, Shyla Blaine, Norm Lapierre, Jan York, Al York, Grant Marcotte, Abraham van der Breggen and Scott Lawrence. Sitting in the car is Heather van der Breggen and Rose Lapierre. Missing is Rickee-Lee Murdoch, Chun Marcotte and Kevin Lackey.

Young cheerleaders wash cars

St. Michael cheerleaders Jenna Vertefeuille, Ashley Pickering and Keely St. Onge wash a car during a fund-raiser car wash and barbecue held at the Co-op community deck on June 11. The members of the cheerleading squad were raising funds for new uniforms.
