EnCana Oilers spar with Regina in doubleheaders

The Weyburn EnCana Mosquito Oilers had a win, a tie and two losses out of two doubleheaders on the weekend with the Regina Buffaloes and Blue Jays.

On Saturday, Weyburn hosted the Blue Jays at Jubilee Park. The Oilers fell short 14-5 in their first game, but the boys managed to score a 6-6 tie in their second match.

On Sunday, Weyburn travelled to Regina to play the Buffaloes. The Oilers lost their first game 15-12, but come back fighting in their second game, winning 10-3.

On Thursday, the EnCana Oilers travelled to Regina and scored a 17-11 road victory.

On June 14, Weyburn hosted Pilot Butte for a 6-4 loss. On June 13, the Oilers hosted Estevan for a game and battled them to a 10-7 loss.

The team consists of Daniel Watson, Cameron Evans, Trenton Kauf, Zach Douglas, Jordan Johner, Tucker Neuberger, Brayden Leslie, Wyatt Vollbrecht, Kyle Crozier, Lyndon Lumb, Derrick Pouliot, Jeff Nikolejsin and Ketter Hoium.

They are coached by Todd Neuberger. Assistant coaches are Doug Lumb and Dwayne Leslie. Lionel Pouliot is manager.

The Weyburn EnCana Oilers travel to Swift Current this June 25-26 weekend for a tournament.
