Five students from Ste. Foy, Quebec, gather with summer
work exchange coordinator Michelle Pilon at their welcoming barbecue
held at the Pilon house on July 2. Seated from left are Marie-Eve
Samson, Michelle Pilon, Camille Pelletier and Naouel Allouche;
in front are Alexandre Boutet and Micheline Lagacé. They
arrived as four students from the Weyburn area arrived in Quebec,
all for a six-week work exchange program set up through the federal
government and MP Ed Komarnicki. The Weyburn Lions Club are the
host organization to provide support for the program here, and
the students will be involved with such groups as the Family
Place, Canadian Mental Health Association, the Wheatland-Souris
Challenge, Ogema Regional Park and the Town of Lampman. The students
will also have some fun here, attending the Weyburn Fair and
later the Weyburn Wheat Festival. |
